About the position

As an AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be instrumental in creating responsible and reliable AI systems that transform banking experiences. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve operational efficiency. You will leverage advanced AI technologies and contribute to the technical vision of foundational AI systems, ensuring they are scalable and impactful.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus at least 2 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or Master's degree.
• At least 2 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience developing, delivering, and supporting AI components.
• Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
• Experience developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software.
