About the position

As an AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be part of a team that is at the forefront of leveraging AI and machine learning to transform banking experiences. Your role will involve designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions and improve operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable AI solutions that deliver significant value to millions of customers, while also contributing to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus at least 2 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or Master's degree.
• At least 2 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience developing, delivering, and supporting AI components.
• Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
• Experience developing and applying state-of-the-art techniques for optimizing training and inference software.
