About the position

The AI Engineer at TerraPower will be integral to the development and implementation of AI tools that support the company's mission of advancing nuclear energy innovation. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes through AI, ensuring the security of digital assets, and providing technical support for AI functionalities. The position requires a detail-oriented and adaptable individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Strict adherence to established software development and project management procedures, many of which are based on nuclear and international standards.
• Build safe and responsible AI systems.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to discuss product development and identify uses of AI tools.
• Draft, refine, and test text prompts to ensure they yield the desired outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to gather insights and domain knowledge for effective intent creation.
• Ensure efficient use of various state-of-the-art AI models deployed on Azure infrastructure.
• Optimize text prompts based on user feedback.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning.
• Use LLMs to process large data sets and create desired outcomes.
• Utilize Excel and basic analysis tools to evaluate the efficiency of AI implementations.
