About the position

Writer is seeking an AI Engineer with a strong software engineering background to join their team. This role focuses on developing and implementing advanced generative AI models and algorithms, collaborating with a diverse team to create innovative AI solutions that enhance enterprise capabilities. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in NLP and ML technologies to drive the development of AI-powered applications, ensuring scalability and efficiency in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the engineering team, data scientists, and AI engineers to evolve software architecture for new AI capabilities.
• Evaluate the performance of AI models and systems through rigorous testing and experimentation.
• Deploy LLM-based applications in production, continuously improving their performance.
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities into production systems with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
• Stay updated with advancements in AI and machine learning research, suggesting improvements for generative AI capabilities.
• Translate business requirements into innovative AI solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable production retrieval and agentic systems.
• Implement strong testing and CI/CD practices for AI system development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• High level of coding proficiency using Python.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and AI/ML development.
• Proficiency with production software (Python) and systems design.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and model development techniques.
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle tools like MLflow, dvc, weights & biases.
• Experience with cloud deployment of ML systems.
• Professional experience with LLMs and large-scale models.
• Strong software engineering skills with a track record of building scalable, distributed product machine learning systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience building scalable applications with LLMs using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face.
• Depth of knowledge with RAG implementation and improvements.
