About the position

The AI Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and implement innovative AI/ML solutions within a retail technology company. This role is crucial for shaping the technical strategy for AI/ML and data processing initiatives, focusing on developing and deploying advanced AI models and data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of AI engineers to design and implement innovative AI/ML solutions.
• Develop a technical strategy for AI/ML and data processing initiatives.
• Design and build large-scale data processing systems.
• Use TensorFlow, PyTorch, and langChain for AI/ML development.
• Design data processing systems and work with data transformation tools, automated data pipelines, and backend services.
• Develop software using Node.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, GitHub, AWS, and cloud infrastructure automation tools.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake for big data processing.
• Manage software projects from inception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and data processing technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development.
• 5+ years of experience in big data processing.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and langChain.
• Experience with large-scale data processing systems design.
• Experience with data transformation tools, automated data pipelines, and backend services.
• Proficiency with Node.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, GitHub, AWS, and cloud infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Strong background in software development, Software Engineering, and Software Project Management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
