About the position

The AI Engineering Manager at LinkedIn will lead the Enterprise AI team, focusing on developing innovative AI solutions that connect individuals to job opportunities and enhance learning experiences. This role involves managing a team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the development of generative AI models and recommendation systems to improve recruitment workflows and learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 6-10 AI engineers focused on creating platforms for connecting individuals to job opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, Applications, Infrastructure, and Vertical AI teams to align on initiatives and ensure optimal collaboration.
• Participate in technical and design discussions with technical leads.
• Define and implement best practices for engineering and research to enhance productivity.
• Attract and mentor world-class talent, providing technical guidance and career development opportunities.
• Operate best engineering practices to ensure team productivity and drive faster iterations through A/B testing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning and algorithm development.
• 1+ year of management experience leading an AI/ML engineering team or equivalent experience with management training.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in data modeling, AI, and machine learning.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in AI Engineering management and people leadership, ideally leading teams of 5+ individuals.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related fields.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling and machine learning.
• Experience with Generative AI products and Search and Recommendation systems.
