About the position

The AI Engineering Manager at Ford Pro is responsible for leading the development and delivery of AI and machine learning solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. This role involves strategic thinking, technical leadership, and team development, focusing on collaboration with business stakeholders to address challenges through advanced analytics and AI technologies. The manager will also mentor team members and drive the growth of the AI Engineering practice within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business customers to understand challenges and develop AI/ML strategies.
• Define and communicate product vision and delivery with stakeholders.
• Measure success of product efforts through goal setting and monitoring key metrics.
• Support technical reviews of analytical methods and AI solutions.
• Prioritize advanced analytic research to enhance product capabilities.
• Lead the development of analytical solutions hands-on.
• Drive AI products and services end-to-end in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Influence product direction through presentations to leadership.
• Advance the AI Engineering and Data Science discipline through community practices.
• Promote learning and development needs of the team.
• Support team members in product delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics).
• 4+ years of experience as a senior technical lead in analytical discussions.
• 3+ years of experience with analytical methods and their application.
• 3+ years of experience using AI/ML and data science software (e.g., Python-based tools).
• 2+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• Experience in leading, hiring, and growing Data Science teams.
• Experience using Cloud Platforms and AI Platforms.
• Experience with Gen AI technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• PhD Degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning).
• Expert level of Advanced and Predictive Analytical Methods.
• Working knowledge of GCP.
• Expertise in open source data science technologies such as Python, R, Spark, SQL.
