About The Position

Appian is seeking a high-energy, tech-savvy AI Evangelist to lead an "AI-First" cultural transformation. This role focuses on empowering employees across all departments with practical AI capabilities, acting as the internal face of AI to "Appianize" productivity. The goal is to turn complex AI tools into simple, repeatable workflows that save time, spark creativity, and inspire the workforce.

Requirements

Deep, "inside-out" knowledge of the Google Gemini ecosystem and Claude, including prompting, building custom "Gems," and automating workflows.
Ability to speak "non-technical" fluently, functioning as a teacher, marketer, and coach.
A "digital native" mindset with agility to quickly adapt to new features and create demos.
Strong instinct for decomposing manual tasks into AI-assisted, repeatable processes.
Experience in automating tasks using AI tools like Gemini.

Someone who already automates spreadsheets for fun.
A "champion of the champions" who makes AI feel like a perk, not a chore.

Responsibilities

Partner with "AI Champions" embedded in every department to identify specific use cases and demos that prove tangible value in their unique business contexts.
Serve as the resident expert on Google Gemini (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Gmail) and Claude (Cowork), staying ahead of feature updates.
Act as a hands-on consultant for knowledge workers, demonstrating how to use AI tools for tasks like transforming content into marketing campaigns or slide decks.
Drive "bottoms-up" innovation, making employees feel the company is investing in their future and replacing fear of AI with mastery and momentum.
Partner with IT and Security to ensure AI usage stays within company guardrails, preventing "Shadow IT" while encouraging creative exploration.
