About the position

The AI Governance Lead - Vice President role at JPMorgan Chase is focused on leading the development and operationalization of a strategic AI governance framework within the Global HR & Employee Experience (EX) organization. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance data governance initiatives, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive responsible AI development and usage across the organization. The candidate will play a central role in managing metadata, quality, classification, protection, and privacy of data, while also supporting the implementation of data governance processes and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and operationalization of strategic AI Governance framework within the HR & EX organization.
  • Represent HR & EX CDAO in various data and AI forums, committees, and councils.
  • Deliver projects related to AI governance in support of new laws/regulations, including training on data management requirements and processes.
  • Drive changes required to processes, procedures, and/or controls aligned to Firmwide Data Management, Data Privacy, and AI policies/standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance responsible AI development and usage.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on AI Governance matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience in AI governance, AIML model risk governance, business controls, data risk management, or technology controls.
  • Knowledge of GDPR required.
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls and create procedure and process flows.
  • Data governance subject matter expertise required.
  • Experience in implementing firmwide policies and standards.
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating across functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and proven skill in influencing others.
