About the position

The AI/Machine Learning Engineer at Metas Solutions will play a crucial role in facilitating the coordination and implementation of the CDC's AI/ML strategy and enterprise roadmap. This position involves project management activities, data science support, and the development of training materials for both internal and external partners. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including CDC programs and governance bodies, to drive innovative AI/ML solutions that enhance public health capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models and applications.
• Collaborate with data engineers and team members to create innovative solutions that drive business value.
• Work within a mid-size team of Senior Data and AI/ML engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models using Databricks, Azure ML, or Palantir.
• 3+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications integrating LLM into Databricks or Palantir.
• Experience with evaluating RAG Chat Bots using LLMs-as-a-Judge for automated evaluation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with preparing evaluation datasets and retrieving chatbot models.
• Experience with Vector Databases.
• Experience developing data engineering pipelines.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
