BioLegend is seeking an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer who will play a crucial role in the development of innovative digital products that have a direct impact on various application areas, including oncology, immunology, and neurology. This position requires a deep understanding of biological datasets, ranging from single-cell sequencing to flow cytometry, and the ability to translate biological endpoints into computational problems that can be addressed using AI and machine learning techniques. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with computational scientists, software engineers, biologists, and product managers on multiple projects, ensuring that the solutions developed are both effective and relevant to the needs of researchers in the life sciences field. In this role, the engineer will curate relevant datasets from both external and internal sources to facilitate the training and testing of new AI methods. They will leverage existing software infrastructure at BioLegend, as well as public software toolkits, to rapidly prototype AI and computational methods tailored to specific problems. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to the expansion of BioLegend's AI/ML software infrastructure, ensuring that the tools and methods developed are robust and scalable. Effective communication of methods, results, and findings to team members and management will be essential to drive informed decision-making and project direction.
