About the position

Outlier is seeking talented English writers to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models. This remote and flexible freelance role involves reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text to improve the accuracy and relevance of AI responses. Writers will rank AI outputs, rewrite prompts, and ensure factual correctness, contributing their expertise to enhance AI models.

Responsibilities

• Read English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Write and rewrite prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text.

Nice-to-haves
