About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models. This remote and flexible freelance role involves reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text to improve the quality of AI models. Writers will rank AI responses, rewrite prompts, and evaluate the factuality and relevance of the content produced by AI.

Responsibilities

• Read English text to rank a series of responses produced by an AI model.
• Write and rewrite prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
• Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text.
