About the position

The AI/ML Data Scientist Consultant role at Guidehouse involves working with clients to maximize the value of their data through advanced analytics and data science. The consultant will engage in various phases of analytic work product development, including data collection, analysis, and delivering insights to decision-makers. This position requires a strong understanding of the interplay between data and business processes, as well as the ability to apply statistical and machine learning techniques to support key mission outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of analytic work product development, from identifying key business questions to delivering insights.
  • Perform data collection and ETL processes.
  • Clean, manipulate, and pre-process data using Python, SQL, or R.
  • Apply statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to analyze data.
  • Develop advanced analytics products and data visualizations for business intelligence.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis activities, including hypothesis testing and statistical inferences.
  • Define success metrics for AI/ML initiatives and analyze data from experiments to quantify impacts.
  • Guide AI/ML adoption and communicate results to strategic leaders and stakeholders.
  • Develop newer techniques in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Five or more years of experience in Data Science or Data Analytics.
  • Experience cleaning, manipulating, and pre-processing data using Python, SQL, or R.

Nice-to-haves

  • M.S./M.A. in Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or similar quantitative/computational discipline.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, predictive analysis, or machine learning using Python, SQL, PySpark, and cloud-based tools such as Big Query and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with data science and ML packages such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy.
  • Experience in end-to-end model development and deployment lifecycle, including ML Ops.
  • Experience designing and implementing technology for business applications.
