About the position

The AI/ML Engineer (AMOE) role is a remote contract position focused on collaborating with a major automotive client. The engineer will leverage their expertise in software engineering, machine learning, and DevOps to build CI/CD pipelines, deploy applications, and automate processes. The position requires strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and emphasizes maintainable and testable code practices.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in engineering roles.
• Technical degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant technical certifications, especially in DevOps (CKA, CKS, RHCSA, etc.).
• Fluency in Python, including writing method and class docstrings.
• Comfortable with Git and GitHub for code development and deployment.
• Strong command line skills in Unix-like environments.
• Excellent understanding of networking and security principles.
• Experience with containers and orchestration, particularly Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud deployment using tools like Terraform and Argo CD.
• Understanding of ML/AI concepts and practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of standard ML/AI libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch/JAX.
• Fluency in other programming languages, particularly Go and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with software architecture for scalable systems.
• Proficiency in SQL for data ingestion and analysis.
