About the position

We're seeking a talented and experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing AI and machine learning models, with a focus on leveraging open source large language models (LLMs) and computer vision technologies. This role requires expertise in Python programming and a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and best practices, including natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision. This position is located in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will develop and fine-tune AI/ML models based on open source LLMs and computer vision algorithms. You will design and implement MLOps processes to streamline model development, deployment, and monitoring for both NLP and computer vision projects. Additionally, you will create human-in-the-loop systems for model training and evaluation across text and image data, optimizing AI/ML pipelines for performance and scalability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing products and workflows will be essential, as well as staying current with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies, particularly in NLP and computer vision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune AI/ML models based on open source LLMs and computer vision algorithms

Requirements

• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with a focus on NLP, LLMs, and computer vision
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python
• Extensive experience with popular ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
• Proficiency in developing and deploying ML models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC)
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with open source LLMs (e.g., BERT, GPT, T5) and computer vision models (e.g., YOLO, ResNet, U-Net)
• Knowledge of image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Pillow)
• Experience with deep learning architectures for computer vision (CNNs, R-CNNs, GANs)
• Familiarity with computer vision tasks such as object detection, image segmentation, and facial recognition
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark)
• Experience with data annotation tools and processes for both text and image data
• Understanding of ethical AI principles and practices, including bias mitigation in visual and language models
