About the position

The AI/ML Engineer role focuses on developing and implementing AI solutions, particularly in client-facing applications. The position requires expertise in various AI technologies, including Google Vertex AI, Python, and Natural Language Processing (NLP). The engineer will work on projects involving semantic search, retrieval augmented generation, and vector indexing, utilizing cloud platforms for deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI solutions for client applications.
• Utilize Google Vertex AI and Python for data exploration and analysis.
• Perform various NLP tasks using Hugging Face pipelines.
• Build semantic search and retrieval augmented generation systems using Llama Index or Lang chain.
• Design and structure inputs for LLMs using Open AI or Vertex AI APIs.
• Work with vector databases for efficient data retrieval.
• Evaluate NLP models using appropriate metrics.
• Deploy proof of concepts on cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in AI/Client engineering.
• Expertise in Python and data science libraries such as Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Sci-kit Learn.
• Experience with NLP tasks using Hugging Face pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications like Llama Index or Lang chain.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as PineCone, Qdrant, and Weaviate.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms for deploying AI solutions.
• Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas for data modeling and querying.
• Experience with conversation AI platforms like Kore AI and RASA.
• Knowledge of Approximate Nearest Neighbor libraries like FAISS and ANNOY.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with advanced prompting techniques such as Few-shot learning and Chain-of-thought.
• Experience with improving vector indexing and query expansion.
