About the position

The AI Platform Software Developer Intern at IBM Research will engage in the development, testing, and implementation of advanced AI technologies. The role is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields, providing hands-on experience in software development and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development, testing, and implementation of AI technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products and systems.
• Design, integrate, and evaluate AI models and algorithms.
• Work on research initiatives to assess potential applications of AI technologies.
• Showcase the value of AI technologies to IBM's businesses and strategic partners.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C/C++.
• Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals and Generative AI concepts.
• Understanding of Cloud computing concepts and tools.
• Curiosity for exploring new technologies and contributing to open-source projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Enrolled in a Master's program.
• Coursework in machine learning algorithms, data structures, linear algebra, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, Hugging Face, TensorFlow.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
