About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance role is remote and offers flexible hours, allowing writers to work at their convenience. The position involves reading and ranking AI-generated responses, writing and rewriting prompts, and assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced text.

Responsibilities

• Read English text to rank a series of responses generated by an AI model.
• Write and rewrite prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
• Assess the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar.
• Logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text.
