About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance role is remote with flexible hours, allowing writers to contribute their expertise in reading, writing, and assessing AI-generated text.

Responsibilities

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models.

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution.
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text.
