About the position

As an AI Research Scientist in AI Engineering and Operations on our Data Science Team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between theoretical research and practical implementation of AI technologies. Your primary focus will be on engineering and operations, ensuring that innovative AI solutions are efficiently deployed to meet business needs. You will contribute to business strategy and influence decision-making through deep dive analysis, producing actionable recommendations based on insights derived from complex data sets. In this role, you will design processes to consolidate and examine unstructured data, generating actionable insights that drive business outcomes. Collaboration is key, as you will partner with business leaders, engineers, and industry experts to construct predictive models, algorithms, and probability engines. Your expertise in MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) will be essential in streamlining the deployment, monitoring, and management of machine learning models. You will work closely with data scientists and engineers to create robust pipelines for model training, testing, and deployment. Your responsibilities will also include writing efficient, maintainable code for AI applications and automation tasks, driving automation efforts within the research organization, and automating repetitive tasks, data preprocessing, and model deployment processes. You will manage server infrastructure for AI applications and possess a comprehensive understanding of the entire AI stack, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, and deployment. Additionally, you will create compelling visualizations to communicate insights from AI models and effectively translate research findings into practical solutions, tackling complex problems related to AI engineering and operations while proposing novel solutions to advance AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge of MLOps to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to create robust pipelines for model training, testing, and deployment.
  • Write efficient, maintainable code for AI applications and automation tasks.
  • Drive automation efforts within the research organization and automate repetitive tasks, data preprocessing, and model deployment processes.
  • Manage server infrastructure for AI applications and understand the entire AI stack, including data collection, preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
  • Create compelling visualizations to communicate insights from AI models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate research findings into practical solutions.
  • Tackle complex problems related to AI engineering and operations and propose novel solutions.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of related experience
  • Proficiency in Python, automation, and server operations skills
  • Strong MLOps skills
  • Knowledge of the AI stack
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree / PhD degree is an asset
