About the position

The Solutions Engineer - Artificial Intelligence (AI) role is a key position within the sales team, focused on driving the adoption of AI infrastructure solutions across various industries. This position involves identifying potential clients, understanding their specific needs, and providing tailored solutions that enhance their business operations. The role requires a deep understanding of AI infrastructure technologies and the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of AI infrastructure solutions across various industries.
• Identify potential clients and understand their specific needs.
• Provide tailored solutions that enhance business operations.
• Build awareness and foster education about AI among internal team members and external partners.
• Serve as a link between technical teams, account teams, executives, and partners/customers.
• Showcase Cisco AI infrastructure solutions and promote their benefits.
• Design, develop, and promote AI solutions, addressing challenges as they arise.
• Travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Requirements

• 2+ years of technical pre-sales experience selling compute, storage, and network solutions or similar cloud-based AI infrastructure.
• Understanding and experience with AI/ML technologies such as Transformers, Deep Neural Networks, and Reinforcement Learning.
• Familiarity with hardware accelerators like GPUs and DPUs and their utilization in scaling AI infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for delivering engaging workshops on AI topics.
• Proven soft skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, customer engagement, and advocacy.
• Experience with AI solutions from vendors like Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Microsoft, Google, and others.
• In-depth understanding of language models like GPT-3, LLaMA, and BERT.
• Experience in deploying large language models from Hugging Face.
• Familiarity with popular AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Experience with databases like Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB, as well as AI vector databases.
