About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to assist in training generative AI models. This remote, freelance position offers flexible hours, allowing contributors to work at their convenience. The role involves reading and evaluating AI-generated text, rewriting prompts, and assessing the factuality and relevance of the content produced by AI models.

Responsibilities

• Reading English text to rank AI-generated responses
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-generated text

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor
• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution
• Strong writing style with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of text

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AI or machine learning concepts
• Familiarity with various writing styles and formats
