Responsibilities

  • Apply innovative research in machine learning to tackle complex data annotation and product evaluation problems.
  • Develop machine-based grading models to reduce annotation costs and turnaround time.
  • Build pipelines to automate the assessment of data quality for training foundational and adapter models.
  • Conduct research to improve data curation efficacy by identifying grading errors and biases.
  • Uncover patterns in data using statistical and ML-based methods to model data distributions and discover anomalies.
  • Employ data selection techniques such as novelty detection, active learning, and core-set selection for diverse data types.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with developing and evaluating ML applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding and improving data quality.
  • Experience writing automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests.
  • Proficient in using continuous integration systems.
  • Strong database and SQL skills.
  • B.S. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or related areas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven expertise in machine learning with a passion for model evaluation and applications.
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and large language models like BERT, GPT, or Transformers.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PyTorch, or Jax.
  • Demonstrated publication record in relevant conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
  • Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or related areas.
