The AIML Information Intelligence team at Apple is at the forefront of creating groundbreaking technology in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing. The universal search engine developed by this team powers search functionalities across various Apple products, enhancing user experience by providing relevant and accurate information. The team is also focused on developing state-of-the-art generative AI technologies based on Large Language Models (LLMs) to innovate features in both Apple's devices and cloud services. As a Machine Learning Engineer/Scientist, you will engage in large-scale machine learning and deep learning projects aimed at improving Open Domain Question Answering. This role involves creating sophisticated machine learning models and LLMs that can understand user queries, retrieve and rank relevant documents from multiple sources, and synthesize information to deliver direct answers that meet user intent. You will collaborate with researchers and data scientists to develop, fine-tune, and evaluate domain-specific LLMs for various applications in Apple's AI-powered products. Additionally, you will conduct applied research to transition cutting-edge generative AI research into production-ready technologies, ensuring that Apple remains a leader in AI innovation.
