About the position

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure, datasets, and models for understanding and generation of text, images, speech, and videos.
• Collaborate with a team to tackle challenging problems in foundation models and deep learning.
• Identify and develop novel deep learning applications for Apple products.
• Contribute to the training and deployment of large models and large-scale distributed systems.

Requirements

• Proven track record in training or deployment of large models or building large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and one of the deep learning toolkits such as JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• PhD or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with web-scale information retrieval.
• Knowledge of human-like conversation agents.
• Familiarity with multi-modal perception for existing products and future hardware platforms.
