About the position

The AIML- QA Engineer role at Apple focuses on ensuring the quality of Generative AI experiences within Apple products. This position involves working closely with a team of engineers, designers, and machine learning experts to qualify and refine features that enhance user experiences. The role requires a self-directed individual who can adapt to change and ambiguity while maintaining a strong technical foundation for future development.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing of experience features on iOS platform, sometimes across concurrent release vectors
• Creative manual testing
• Design and implementation of test plans and test cases
• Risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system
• Maintain a qualitative, high level understanding of area of responsibility
• Investigation and debugging on Unix based systems to triage difficult problems and work towards resolutions

Requirements

• Experience working in Software Quality Assurance
• An enthusiasm for user-focused design and shipping high-quality technology
• Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven experience creating test plans for new products and features
• Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple
• Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity
• Proficiency with iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS or similar operating systems
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with AI principles and Foundation Models
• Track record of working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships amongst teams and individuals
