About the position

The Machine Intelligence Neural Design (MIND) team at Apple is seeking a highly motivated individual to contribute to the development of innovative perception and interactive experiences. This role involves leading efforts in building prototypes and user-facing systems utilizing state-of-the-art machine learning technologies, with a focus on collaboration across various teams to create seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in building prototypes and user-facing systems using machine learning technologies.
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate sensor systems into software applications.
• Contribute to hardware prototyping, signal processing, data modeling, and multimodal sensor fusion.
• Engage in creative problem solving and explore multiple hypotheses through scientific methods.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in machine learning research and engineering, including real-world model deployments.
• Experience with signal processing and multimodal machine learning, including large language models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with hardware, sensors, and real-time data pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related fields.
• Background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a plus.
