About the position

The AIML Resident - Knowledge Graph Quality position at Apple is a year-long residency program designed for experts in various fields to apply their domain expertise in machine learning and AI. Residents will engage in innovative projects, collaborate with teams, and gain hands-on experience while contributing to the development of next-generation ML solutions for Knowledge Q&A features like Siri and Spotlight. This role emphasizes the integration of machine learning with domain expertise to enhance user experiences across Apple products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in high-impact projects related to Knowledge Graph Quality.
• Collaborate with fellow residents and Apple teams across hardware, software, and services.
• Attend machine learning and AI courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Publish research findings in premier academic conferences.
• Work closely with a mentor from Apple to guide project development.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Objective-C, C++, Swift, or R.
• Experience completing a moderate-sized software project.
• Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with others.
• Graduate degree in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience in software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Academic, research, or industry experience in Large Language Models / Generative AI, Machine Learning & ML Research, Natural Language Processing, or Information Retrieval.
• Experience with thesis, capstone projects, internships, or co-ops in relevant fields.
