About the position

Apple's AIML residency is a year-long program designed for experts in various fields to apply their domain expertise in machine learning and AI to innovate and build revolutionary products and experiences. Residents will engage in hands-on projects, attend courses, and collaborate with mentors and peers, contributing to high-impact initiatives that redefine user experiences across Apple’s platforms.

Responsibilities

• Attend machine learning and AI courses.
• Collaborate with fellow residents and Apple teams.
• Work on high-impact projects related to machine learning and AI.
• Publish research in premier academic conferences.

Requirements

• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Objective-C, C++, Swift, and/or R.
• Experience completing a moderate-sized software project.
• Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with others.
• Graduate degree in a STEM field or equivalent industry experience in software engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Academic, research, or industry experience in Large Language Models / Generative AI, Machine Learning & ML Research, Natural Language Processing, or Information Retrieval.
• Thesis, capstone project, internship, co-op, and/or proven experience in these fields.
