About the position

The position involves working with the Information Intelligence teams at Apple to develop and maintain infrastructure that supports advanced search features across various Apple products. The role focuses on algorithmic search, machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on handling large-scale data processing and building scalable distributed services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure to support features for billions of Apple users.
• Process billions of requests daily across the web crawl stack.
• Utilize a microservice-based architecture to support multimodal crawl.
• Take end-to-end ownership of services from conception to maintenance.
• Work on complex large-scale systems with trillions of records and petabytes of data.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong coding skills and experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing and building scalable distributed services.
• Experience with petabyte scale data processing and building data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS Services such as Amazon S3, EC2, EKS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work independently as well as cross-functionally.

• Experience in Web Crawl is a plus.
