As a Senior Data Scientist for Siri and Apple Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-based product experiences at Apple. This position involves optimizing product features that leverage AI and Apple Intelligence, utilizing a wide range of quantitative methods. Your work will focus on developing scalable analytical and engineering methods to extract insights from user behavior and large language model (LLM) training data. The scope of your responsibilities will encompass all areas of AI-based products, including Siri's functionality and Apple's new product strategies, with the ultimate goal of enhancing product quality in alignment with the future of AI-driven experiences. In this role, you will conduct statistical analyses of structured data to gain a deeper understanding of how hundreds of millions of users interact with Siri and other AI-based products across various devices, such as iPhone, HomePod, and Mac. You will be tasked with developing metrics and a measurement framework that guides iterative product improvements for AI-based user experiences. Your analytical toolkit will include diverse methodologies and technical strategies aimed at uncovering opportunities to enhance user experiences with AI products. This includes providing insights into the performance of the underlying LLMs that these products rely on. Additionally, you will develop tools that employ scalable analytical and engineering approaches to expedite the process of deriving insights from user behavior and LLM training data. Investigating worldwide product usage will be essential to identify weaknesses and opportunities for product enhancement. You will also define metrics and design A/B tests with appropriate instrumentation to evaluate the success of new features. Building strong relationships with engineering leads and product partners across the AIML product ecosystem will be crucial to driving a privacy-first strategy for analytical insights. Your ability to communicate clearly and think in a structured, user-centric manner will help you build credibility with product partners.
