About the position

The Sr. Engineering Program Manager at Apple will lead and manage complex software platforms and processes that enhance the Siri Assistant experience. This role involves driving programs from inception to delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely execution of projects while managing risks and communication effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Drive programs and projects that support Siri Platforms.
  • Collaborate with multiple partner organizations relevant to the project.
  • Provide clear, timely, concise, and objective communication including regular program status updates.
  • Drive discussions and break down complex issues into manageable chunks.
  • Own the program end-to-end from inception to delivery.
  • Create and manage project timelines and milestones with clear dependencies and deliverables.
  • Manage risks, mitigations, and re-plan as needed.
  • Identify issues and drive towards solutions with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management leading cross-functional data and software engineering teams delivering consumer-facing technology products.
  • Excellent project management skills including project structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently.
  • Solid knowledge of technical system architecture and systems design tradeoffs.
  • Thorough understanding of testing, build, and release processes for complex software.
  • Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution and management and influence.
  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentation.
  • Ability to independently draft and present deliverables, recommendations, and communication strategies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in project or program management.
  • Proficiency in Agile, SDLC development processes.
  • Superior group facilitation and interviewing skills.
