As an Operations Engineer in Apple's Body-sensing Intelligence Group, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing user experiences through advanced machine learning technologies. This position involves exploring innovative operational methods, developing data delivery practices, and tackling real-world ML challenges. Your contributions will significantly impact the development of next-generation ML algorithms and the overall user experience of Apple products.

Responsibilities

• Explore new operational methods and challenge existing metrics and protocols.
• Develop innovative practices to revolutionize data delivery.
• Utilize advanced tools and processes to deliver high-quality datasets for ML algorithms.
• Translate ML-driven experiences into actionable processes considering hardware, firmware, and software requirements.
• Build data pipelines with an ML-first perspective and develop systems to monitor data quality.
• Present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to lead innovative data collection projects focused on privacy.
• Oversee the creation of intricate user studies that support research and product objectives.
• Innovate and implement new operational strategies and practices.
• Evaluate and enhance existing metrics and protocols to boost data quality and efficiency.
• Quickly adapt to new and emerging hardware and software technologies.
• Manage multiple active projects involving both emerging and established technologies.

Requirements

• Holds a B.S./M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Possess over 5 years of experience in taking products from concept to large-scale production.
• Skilled in rapid prototyping and familiar with Design of Experiments (DOEs).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset in addressing challenges.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
