About the position

The Air C2 Systems Engineer at Stahl Companies is responsible for leading technical support and engineering efforts related to Air Command and Control (C2) systems. This role involves providing guidance to teams, developing solutions to complex technical problems, and interacting with customers to address their needs. The engineer will also be involved in project management, resource allocation, and maintaining equipment in testing labs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and provides guidance to teams in the provision of technical support and expertise for test, engineering, and training efforts related to Air C2 systems such as CAC2S, CTN, or TBMCS.
  • Defines, organizes, and assigns activities to accomplish engineering and testing efforts.
  • Provides technical mentoring to individuals and teams.
  • Develops, integrates, and implements solutions to diverse, highly complex technical problems across multiple areas and disciplines.
  • Develops, reviews, writes, or provides technical input to technical test and engineering documents.
  • Develops and presents briefings as required.
  • Documents technical status, progress, and problems encountered during test and engineering events.
  • Interacts independently and proactively with customers to identify and define complex problems and to develop and implement strategies or techniques for resolving technical issues.
  • Works with customers to evaluate and analyze technical requirements and test objectives to develop plans to test these requirements and objectives.
  • Identifies, plans, allocates, and optimizes resources to complete multiple project related tasks and goals.
  • Manages and maintains equipment and configurations in the test and engineering labs.
  • Effectively accomplishes multiple project goals within established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Five years experience as a systems engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field.
  • Two years experience performing engineering, software development, testing, or system administration of Air C2 systems such as CAC2S, CTN, or TBMCS.
  • Experience in project management, configuration management and quality control procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience administering VMware ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Experience in Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Working knowledge of network administration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional.
