About the position

The Air Compressor Technician at Quincy Compressor is responsible for providing high-quality field service to customers by troubleshooting and repairing various air compressor systems and related equipment. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and safety, requiring effective communication and technical skills to ensure efficient service delivery. The technician will work closely with customers and the Service Manager, participating in a rotating on-call schedule to address service needs promptly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, auto drains, flow controllers, vacuum pumps, and blowers.
• Pressure wash and clean the customer's equipment pad, including skids, coolers, concrete, tanks, etc.
• Communicate with customers and the Service Manager regarding services performed and present options for repairs or upgrades.
• Complete all work orders, start-up forms, warranty forms, oil sample forms, and parts return slips accurately.
• Train and assist other Service Technicians as needed.
• Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems as required.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• 3 years of experience as a technician.
• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or electronic repair.
• Customer-focused with a strong sense of ownership in meeting customer needs.
• Ability to supply all basic required tools.
