About the position

The Sr. Machine Learning Engineer for Air Defense at Anduril Industries will be responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning models specifically tailored for air defense applications. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance military capabilities, focusing on real-time applications and system performance evaluation. The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful deployment and sustainability of the Air Defense Family of Systems in challenging operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Propose and prototype innovative solutions to solve real world problems, leveraging the latest state-of-the-art techniques in the field.
• Develop and maintain core ML pipelines.
• Train and deploy deep learned models for real-time applications.
• Leverage ML to help evaluate our own system performance live to enable our sensors to interface with systems of systems.
• Curate datasets for evaluating performance and comparing performance trends over time.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years experience developing and benchmarking ML algorithms on large-scale datasets.
• Strong ML and CV background.
• Experience deploying models with TensorRT and ONNX.
• Experience with Python development and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Deployment of algorithms in a compute restricted environment.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated continuous integration tests.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in one or more of the following: Object Detection, Object Tracking, Instance Segmentation, Semantic Segmentation, Semantic change Detection.
• Experience in one or more of the following: Visual Odometry, SLAM, Multi-view Geometry, Structure from Motion, 3D Geometry, Discriminative Correlation Filters, Stereo, Neural 3D Reconstruction, RGB-D and LIDAR Sensor Fusion.
• Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
