About the position
The Air Force Junior ROTC Instructor position is a full-time role responsible for teaching the AFJROTC curriculum to high school students while supervising co-curricular activities and Cadet Corp operations. The instructor will engage with students in grades 9-12, providing education in Aerospace Science, Leadership Education, and Health & Wellness. This role requires support for various activities outside regular school hours, including weekends, and is part of a Career and Technical Education program.
Responsibilities
- Teach the AFJROTC curriculum including Aerospace Science, Leadership Education, and Health & Wellness.
- Supervise student co-curricular activities and Cadet Corp operations.
- Support co-curricular activities that may occur outside of regular school hours, including weekends.
- Engage with students of varying fitness levels in a supportive educational environment.
Requirements
- Prior teaching experience is highly desired.
- Military drill & ceremony experience is preferred.
- Logistics management experience is beneficial.
- Ability to work with students of all fitness levels.
