About the position

The Air Logistics Manager at Worldwide Flight Services in Toledo, OH is responsible for overseeing the operations within assigned warehouse or ramp areas. This role involves directing supervisory personnel, ensuring compliance with corporate security programs, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, safety, and employee relations. The manager acts as a liaison between first-level supervisors and upper management, proactively monitoring employee performance and ensuring adherence to operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisory personnel within assigned warehouse or ramp functional areas.
• Oversee staffing requirements and monitor/administer discipline/corrective action for subordinates.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through daily feedback and proactive monitoring of employee performance.
• Maintain compliance with corporate security programs and TSA legislation.
• Coordinate the sorting, scanning, and movement of packages and containers in both warehouse and ramp environments.
• Read, analyze, and interpret the WFS Employee Handbook.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, and customers.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions throughout the operation.
• Interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Operate warehouse/ramp equipment and hold necessary licensing (if applicable).
• Perform specific responsibilities related to your shift.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two to five years of previous management/specialist supervisory experience in a warehouse/logistics/manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading teams of 20 - 40 personnel.
• Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous logistics, manufacturing, warehousing experience.
• Familiarity with personal computer software is helpful.
• Independent judgment and decision-making skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
