About the position

The Air Quality Engineer position at Geosyntec involves supporting Capital Projects within the TX Gulf Coast region. The role focuses on applying project management and engineering skills to deliver services for various industrial and municipal sector clients, both domestically and internationally. The engineer will engage in multidisciplinary project management, ensuring quality and client satisfaction while contributing to the company's growth and technical leadership in environmental engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Apply project management tools to conduct budgeting and budget management, ensuring adherence to schedule and enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Assist Client Manager and technical resource specialists to set, manage, and meet client expectations regarding project execution.
  • Implement quality management practices to maintain work product quality.
  • Engage and coordinate project resources and subcontractors to execute project work.
  • Provide technical input and review of project deliverables.
  • Support company and action group initiatives with respect to project execution and other applicable topics.
  • Collaborate with others to identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (required).
  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering and project management (7+ preferred).
  • Experience managing large capital project development, including managing multiple contracts across trades and engineering disciplines (required).
  • Experience with industrial manufacturing businesses (preferred).
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations related to project development (i.e., IBC, NEPA, CAA, CWA) (preferred).
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed (required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering (preferred).
  • Strong background with applied process engineering (preferred).
  • Experience in the development and approval of sales plans and tracking goals and metrics (required).
  • Experience with managing multi-disciplinary project teams (required).
  • Ability to obtain PE license in chemical or environmental engineering within 24 months of employment (preferred).
