About the position
The Aircraft Assembly Technician position at Aerotek involves servicing aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement. Responsibilities
- Service aircraft landing gear components through troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and parts replacement at the component/depot level.
- Utilize manuals and other data to perform tasks.
- Work under the direction of the Production Shop Supervisor.
- Accomplish both repetitive and unfamiliar tasks using aviation repair manuals.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical ability.
- Great attention to detail.
- Experience in backshop aircraft maintenance assembly related to hydraulics/pneumatics, or experience within the automotive industry or military.
- Working knowledge and experience with micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- 2+ recent years of experience in relevant fields.
