About the position

The Aircraft Avionics Alternate Lead at AAR Corp. is responsible for assisting the Lead Avionics Technician in ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft after maintenance. This role involves establishing work priorities, adhering to high-quality standards, and ensuring proper equipment usage and safety measures are in place. The position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of aircraft and supporting the company's mission to provide value-driven aerospace solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Avionics Technician in all assigned functions to ensure airworthiness of aircraft after maintenance.
• Establish work priorities to support the lead technician.
• Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
• Ensure all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect aircraft and equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Over 2+ years of aviation avionics experience.
• FAA Airframe certification or hold a Repairman Certificate, and FCC Certificate, or a Radio Repairman Operator Certificate.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR.
• Proven leadership abilities, such as taking personal responsibility and completing work in a timely manner.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
• Time management skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
