About the position

The Aircraft Avionics Lead is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft upon completion of maintenance at AAR Corp. This role involves supervising and guiding technicians, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining safety standards. The Lead Technician must hold relevant certifications and is expected to provide technical advice, monitor work performance, and assist in training personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting on matters related to work on assigned aircraft.
  • Ensuring all required paperwork is completed and complies with regulations.
  • Monitoring equipment use and safeguarding customer aircraft.
  • Reporting on work performance, productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Assisting in reviewing personnel qualifications and maximizing manpower.
  • Providing on-the-job training for personnel.
  • Offering guidance and technical advice to assigned technicians.
  • Coordinating with other departments for work package organization.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or four years of related experience.
  • Current and active FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) certificates, FCC certificate, or Radio Repairman Operator certificate.
