The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) involved in the installation, troubleshooting, interrogation, programming/reprogramming, adjustment, testing, modification, calibration, and repair of complex integrated aircraft electrical and environmental systems and equipment on board conventional/nuclear certified aircraft supported by the organization. This role also includes providing training to and evaluating all assigned personnel, including Active Duty, Reservists, Civilians, Contractors, and foreign military as required in the accomplishment of the duties set forth herein. As an Aircraft Electrician specializing in Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems, you will perform troubleshooting of complex integrated electrical/environmental systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft, including support equipment. You will be responsible for installing, inspecting, modifying, repairing, servicing, replacing, adjusting, and overhauling complex integrated electrical/environmental systems, both on and off equipment. This includes systems such as oxygen, fire suppression, air conditioning, pressurization, ice/rain protection, bleed air systems, avionics cooling systems, cargo/mission handling, missile interface units/bomb doors, anti-skid systems, landing gear, ignition, stall warning, flight control, AC/DC power supply and distribution, Integrated Drive Generator, fuel and explosive systems. Additionally, you will perform final functional and operational tests of these systems, prepare and execute effective training plans to maximize training for all assigned personnel, and utilize safety practices and tool control procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of electronic/electrical theories, principles, circuitry, and practices of complex integrated systems, as well as the ability to apply technical practices in the performance of assigned work. The role is critical in ensuring the operational readiness of aircraft systems and involves a commitment to safety and excellence in technical performance.
