About the position

The Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing suppliers with a regional focus while maintaining a strong awareness of the global market. This role is crucial for driving continuous supply chain improvements aligned with the strategic objectives, particularly in aerospace/aviation with fasteners and bearings sectors.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and enhance supplier relationships in the fasteners and bearings domains to meet the company's strategic requirements.
• Proactively monitor and improve supplier performance, ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards and regulations.
• Build and leverage meaningful relationships within the industry, utilizing a network of contacts to facilitate collaboration and identify new opportunities.
• Work closely with various departments, including Quality Assurance, to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Quantify and communicate the financial impact of supply chain initiatives on the company's bottom line.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a complex supply chain environment, preferably in aerospace, with specific expertise in fasteners and bearings.
• Proven track record in developing new and existing suppliers and enhancing supplier performance.
• Established network of industry contacts and commercial awareness within sensitive supply chains.
• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 is required; awareness of RR SABRe, GE S-1000, P&W LCS, and other OEM Quality Systems is advantageous.
