About the position

This position is contingent upon award, and only incumbents need to apply. The role involves providing daily oversight of all functional and operational activities of Maintenance Control. The individual will monitor the duties and responsibilities of Maintenance Control Clerks and Aircraft Issuers/Dispatchers classification. A key responsibility is to establish and maintain a maintenance system inspection schedule while assisting in assigning work priorities to maintenance actions. The position requires scheduling all maintenance actions, which include coordinating daily and turn-around inspections, 140-day corrosion inspections, scheduling aircraft for the daily flight schedule, and 28-day aircraft washes. The individual will oversee the Configuration Management Program and authorize the cannibalization process, phase inspections, transfer/acceptance inspections, aircraft static display requests, and preservation/depreservation activities. Maintaining cleanliness of the work center and the assigned work area is also crucial. The role entails adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations, as well as the Company Tool Control Program. The individual will track cannibalization and maintain liaison with Supply, screen maintenance actions for post-maintenance check flights requirements, and prepare aircraft readiness reports. Monitoring high time component tracking programs and aircraft issuing/scheduling to ensure daily schedule completion is essential. The individual will verify the completion of required maintenance by checking applicable maintenance forms and will be responsible for releasing aircraft or returning them for completion of maintenance. Additionally, the individual may be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily oversight of all functional and operational activities of Maintenance Control.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in direct aircraft maintenance repair, inspection, and modification.
  • Five (5) years management experience in aircraft maintenance.
