At Piedmont Airlines, we are excited to welcome a new Aircraft Maintenance Controller to our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet by coordinating maintenance discrepancies and corrections on all operational aircraft. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring all line station mechanical problems, thereby playing a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of service and operational excellence. The Aircraft Maintenance Controller will work closely with various departments to ensure that all maintenance activities are executed efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and maximizing aircraft availability. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, as the Aircraft Maintenance Controller will need to reduce and hold maintenance recovery time to a minimum. This involves coordinating equipment changes with Maintenance and Dispatch, providing technical assistance to all Maintenance personnel, and executing the Minimum Equipment List/Configuration Deviation List (MEL/CDL) program. Additionally, the role includes coordinating parts and staffing requirements for mechanical interruptions, engine changes, and field repairs, as well as monitoring field repairs and coordinating the return of work crews to their home base. The Aircraft Maintenance Controller will also be responsible for arranging charter aircraft for the dispatching of parts and/or maintenance technicians to outstations, notifying the Inspection department of reportable incidents involving any Company operated aircraft, and coordinating the checking of engine oil quantities and recording the results. This position is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of our fleet and ensuring that we continue to provide industry-leading service to our customers and airline partners.
