In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing aircraft to meet Sun Country Airlines' high standards. You will complete necessary paperwork for maintenance tasks, log all relevant items into our TRAX system, and communicate effectively with the Maintenance Station Supervisor throughout all maintenance procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be essential as you work to identify and report any issues that could affect daily operations. Additionally, you will assist in training new hires and maintain an organized and safe work environment. We are looking for motivated individuals who can work independently and thrive under pressure. Your ability to communicate effectively and solve problems will be key to your success in this role. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will help us maintain our reputation as a reliable and customer-focused airline.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft to Sun Country Airlines standards.
  • Correctly complete paperwork for maintenance performed on aircraft.
  • Enter all log items, NRTCs, and task cards into TRAX.
  • Identify and report problems that could impact daily maintenance operations.
  • Communicate with Maintenance Station Supervisor during all maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain an up-to-date OJT file.
  • Assist with training of newly hired individuals, as necessary.
  • Accomplish housekeeping of maintenance facilities, as required.
  • Move and park aircraft as operations warrant.
  • Move and position ground equipment as needed for the maintenance operation.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A&P license required.
  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations.
  • Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years line maintenance preferred.
  • 2 years 737NG jet experience preferred.
  • 737NG Familiarization Class preferred.
  • 2 years experience in aircraft structural repair preferred.
  • Valid US Passport preferred.
