About the position

At Piedmont Airlines, we are excited to welcome a new Aircraft Maintenance Parts Clerk to our Maintenance Department. This role is essential in ensuring that our storeroom operations run smoothly and efficiently. The primary responsibility of the Aircraft Maintenance Parts Clerk is to manage the inventory of parts and supplies, which includes stocking items, monitoring their shelf life, and ensuring that all parts are issued correctly. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our maintenance teams by ensuring they have the necessary parts available when needed. The Aircraft Maintenance Parts Clerk will report directly to the Aircraft Maintenance Parts Supervisor and will be responsible for various storeroom duties. This includes issuing parts and supplies, ensuring proper packaging and handling during shipping and receiving, and handling electrostatic-sensitive device (ESD) parts with care. The role may also require occasional travel between maintenance bases, which adds a dynamic aspect to the position. Working in this role means being part of a dedicated team that values hard work and mutual support. We are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development within the aviation industry. The work environment is fast-paced and can be subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels, typical of an airport ramp and warehouse setting. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role that includes frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs. The ability to handle objects weighing up to 70 pounds regularly and up to 100+ pounds occasionally, with assistance, is essential. Employment is contingent upon meeting specific requirements, including a valid driver's license, a clear driving record, and passing a 10-year Criminal History Records Check and drug screening.
