About the position

AerSale is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining attendance records, evaluating vacation requests, and promoting a culture of safety within the team. You will also manage budgets, communicate problem areas, and perform necessary disciplinary actions. Your duties will include coordinating with the Project Manager and Planning Department to establish project schedules and goals, organizing aircraft work packages, and ensuring compliance with PM & FAA regulations. You will also participate in aircraft investigations and provide technical training to employees as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain attendance records, performance, and proficiency appraisals of assigned crew.
  • Evaluate vacation requests against scheduling and manpower requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all duties are performed within specified guidelines.
  • Maintain and track budgets as set by Project Manager.
  • Communicate problem areas and resolve conflicts and discrepancies.
  • Perform disciplinary actions within assigned work group in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Attend meetings to discuss critical path areas, planned work, and overall aircraft status.
  • Interact with Project Manager to prioritize daily activities and set aircraft delivery schedule.
  • Coordinate with Planning Department to establish project schedules and budgets.
  • Organize and set-up aircraft work package according to project schedule.
  • Assist Project Manager in coordinating with support groups to ensure aircraft schedule support.
  • Coordinate with inspection Department during primary inspection phase and delivery.
  • Monitor budget daily and review operations for completion and overruns.
  • Prepare financial overviews for Project Manager and DOM.
  • Assist Project Manager in billing service orders within five-day goal after aircraft departure.
  • Perform periodic toolbox inspections and monitor confined space compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with LOTO procedures and PM & FAA regulations.
  • Participate in aircraft investigations to find root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Complete accident investigations and follow-up as needed.
  • Perform periodic in-process audits of assigned crew.
  • Meet with Leads daily for detailed shift turnover.
  • Ensure technical training is provided to employees as needed.
  • Ensure mechanics use correct reference data for maintenance tasks.
  • Order and track all required parts.
  • Provide Project Manager with accurate data and estimates for project planning.

Requirements

  • Aviation or Business Degree or equivalent aviation experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Five (5) + years' experience as an accomplished aircraft mechanic or previous Production Supervisory experience.
  • A&P License Required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced computer skills (knowledge of MS Office programs, such as Word, Excel) preferred.
  • Capable of interpreting drawings and blueprints.
